Rebecca Kukla to Serve as Expert Witness in Ultrasound Viewing Case

Very recently, several states have enacted laws that require abortion providers to show women seeking an abortion an ultrasound image of their fetus and to read aloud a description of its anatomical features, vital signs, etc. The Center for Reproductive Rights is challenging the constitutionality of these laws in several states. The Center has hired Senior Research Scholar Rebecca Kukla as an expert witness, to testify as to whether the Oklahoma version of this law forces physicians to violate their duties to their patients, according to established principles of medical ethics.
