Transportation and Parking (June 2-6, 2008)


 

Public Transportation
Metrorail: Washington's Metro is a clean, convenient subway system. The three closest stops to Georgetown are all a half-hour walk or a short, inexpensive taxi ride away: Rosslyn — directly across from the Key Bridge in Virginia; Foggy Bottom — near Washington Circle (Pennsylvania Avenue and 23rd Street, NW); and Dupont Circle. Participants may use the free GU shuttle bus to/from the Rosslyn and Dupont Circle metro stops. To board the bus free of charge, please bring a copy of your registration paperwork. The WMATA G-2 bus runs directly from Dupont Circle along P Street to the main gate of Georgetown University (37th and O Streets, NW).

Air and Rail Transportation
Washington, DC is serviced by Reagan National Airport (approximately 20 minute ride by car or metro). Dulles and Baltimore-Washington International Airports are within one hour. Washington, DC is served by AMTRAK and MARC trains into Union Station, a convenient taxi ride from the campus.

Parking
