The Program in Disability Studies and the Georgetown Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities is hosting a panel discussion exploring self-advocacy from multiple cultural perspectives. It will consider how self-advocacy is conceptualized and typically practiced within the disability community and feature an ethnically diverse group of people with developmental disabilities and a family member who will share culturally-defined beliefs and practices related to self-advocacy from individual and community perspectives. For disability access or reasonable accommodation, contact Libbie Rifkin at 202-687-3345 or lsr@georgetown.edu.
