Students Present Research Inspired by Second Wave Initiative

Krista Lyn Harrison and Jess Holzer, Ph.D. candidates in the Department of Health Policy and Management at Johns Hopkins University’s Bloomberg School of Public Health, presented a poster (below) at the Women’s Health Annual Congress (held in Washington, DC, March 16-18, 2012) that was inspired by the Second Wave Initiative and by KIE Director Maggie Little‘s course in feminist bioethics. The abstract was based on work done in Dr. Little’s class regarding the progress in inclusion of pregnant women in biomedical research. More information about Harrison and Holzer’s research can be found at The Second Wave Adjunct Project site.
