Intensive Bioethics Course to Offer CME Credits

This June’s Intensive Bioethics Course has been designated an educational activity approved to offer a maximum of 27 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits by Georgetown University Hospital’s Office of Continuing Medical Education. Starting on Monday afternoon June 4, we will feature 8 plenary lectures, 5 special topic sessions, and an optional Library Proseminar on Monday morning.

Featured speakers this year will include Henk ten Have, former director of UNESCO’s Division of Science, Ethics and Technology and Director of the Center for Healthcare Ethics at Duquesne University, and Christine Grady, current member of the President’s Commission on Bioethics and Acting Chief of the Department of Bioethics at the NIH (and former graduate student at the KIE).

Other plenary lectures will be given by founders of the field, Tom Beauchamp, Edmund Pellegrino, and Robert Veatch — to name just a few of the luminaries lined up for this year’s course.
