KIE Senior Research Scholar Rebecca Kukla will speak at “The Maternal Imprint: The Science of the Maternal-Fetal Interface,” hosted by the Women, Gender, and Sexuality Department at Harvard, on April 14, 2014. Dr. Kukla, well-known for her challenging work in this area, most notably in her book Mass Hysteria: Medicine, Culture, and Mothers’ Bodies (Rowman & Littlefield, 2005), will speak about “the permeable pregnant body and the iconography of maternal influence.”
