KIE Scholar Awarded Complex Moral Problems Grant

KIE postdoctoral fellow Elizabeth Edenberg, and Communication, Culture, and Technology faculty member Meg Jones were awarded a Complex Moral Problems Grant through Georgetown University’s Engaged Ethics Initiative. The grant is a one-year award that aims to support collaborative interdisciplinary research into complex moral problems that have a real world impact.

KIE Hosts Michael Lynch for first event in speaker series on data ethics

Last week, the KIE hosted Michael Patrick Lynch, PhD, for its first event in a speaker series on data ethics. Lynch is a writer and professor of philosophy at the University of Connecticut, where his works spans topics such as truth, democracy, public discourse, and the ethics of technology.

Ethics Lab announces new data ethics course

Joining a suite of cross-campus efforts aimed at the science and ethics of data, the KIE will sponsor a full year of data ethics courses in the Institute’s Ethics Lab.
