Universität Bonn features Reynolds at Forum Internationale Wissenschaft

On June 25, 2025 Joel Michael Reynolds, PCCB faculty member, Kennedy Institute of Ethics senior scholar, and associate professor of Philosophy and Disability Studies, took part in a workshop on their research at Universität Bonn in 2025 as part of the Forum Internationale Wissenschaft . Scholars in a host of fields ranging from religious studies to sociology to gaming studies discussed their book The Life Worth Living: Disability, Pain, and Morality  (University of Minnesota Press) and their 2024 essay, “Possibilities of Which I Am: Disability, Embodiment, and Existentialism .” As part of their visit, Reynolds also gave a public keynote that evening entitled, “Worldcreation: On the Power of Accessibility .” Reynolds’ essay and chapters 5 and 6 of their book (“Part III: Ability”) will be reprinted as part of a publication of the FIW’s 
“Transdisciplinary Perspectives on Accessibility”  lecture and workshop series, edited by Adrian Hermann and Ramona Jelinek-Menke.
